watching the gophers and purdue game. gophers just took the lead. i can't believe the field was covered in snow in the morning. it's way too early for that stuff, even for you guys up there. i see that the rockies and phillies are PPD tonight already. anyone crying for them to get a roof?

Big game this weekend...Penn State.

Can the Gophers mesh the run and pass to have a successful balanced offense?

i hope they upset psu on the road. penn state is my college football version of the yankees in terms of how much i hate them. all year i have to listen about how good they are. they should be ashamed of their schedule. iowa embarrassed them in the only game they played against a decent team. i can't believe they were ranked as high as 4 in the country. i think we're just too one-dimensional. weber has to step up his play if the gophers are going to have a chance. i'm not too concerned about the defense

Gophers have played pretty well so far this season. The linebacking core of Campbell, Triplett, and Lawerance have carried an above average defense. Eric Decker is a monster, an easy first round draft pick. Webber is not playing very well, too many turnovers with some bad decision making. This could be caused by the o-line, which is letting everybody get to Web. The running attack will help, which burned the grass against the Boilermakers last week. So far, I think they have played up to expectations.

They will probably lose by two touchdowns to Penn State, but I am hoping for at least one upset in these next two tough weeks. (The fighting Joe Pa's and the Fighting Sweater Vests).

the weather is probably going to be a huge factor in tomorrow's game. they're expecting snow and maybe some rain. it could be the great equalizer

It won't be very Happy in Happy Valley today...cold, with rain and snow. It is a good thing the Gophers got their running game going last week...they will need it. Hopefully, it meshes with the passing attack for some good offense today.

Hang on to that pigskin...

GO GOPHERS!!!!!

purdue upsets ohio state. iowa is the only team left without a loss in the big 10. a win would be gigantic for the gophers

good lord this is a hard game to watch. the offense stinks and gets stopped at the 1 on 4th down and the defense is good on 1st and 2nd down and horrible on 3rd down. we're not taking advantage of penalties either. matt millen (sp) is a horrible commentator

The Gophers looked terrible yesterday...awful play calling, awful execution, no offense, no rushing attack, too many poorly thrown passes, defense at times couldn't tackle their grandmother...though they, the defense were lucky it stepped up during some of the game or it would have been 40-0.

The officiating was terrible...a good reason to have every play reviewed...they had to anyway...LOL.

One positive the punting had a lot of practice and did a good job (with a few Gopher bounces).

This team looks like it is going backwards...fast.

it really was a bad game. gophers got lucky the penn state kept shooting itself in the foot or it really could have been 40-0. the play calling is terribly bland and predicatable. the defense did well considering how much they were on the field. it's a shame to get shutout in a game like that

I realize that Penn State has the best defense by far in the Big Ten, but without that big play to Decker they wouldn't have gotten over 100 yards on offense. Sad. Web has really digressed this season, but it doesn't help that his offensive line in struggling as well. They were trying to run the ball to much. I understand its important to establish the running game, but when it doesn't work it doesn't work. Your best player is a wideout, use him.

They matchup a little better against Ohio State, but they will probably use Minnesota as a statement game, running up the score after an embarrassing loss to Purdue.
