Seriously? How long have I been preaching about the lack of accountability in this organization? About six years now? Who was the first here to seriously question Clint Hurdle...before, during and even after the 2007 Series? If fans want to wear brown bags, fine. What I am saying is that if there are 35,000 people in the stands every night doing it, the Monforts are still depositing large sums of money. We can whine about the deficiencies all we want, but there is a rather unique situation in play here and we are saddled with ownership that doesn't give a cr*ap about winning. They don't have to. They are sitting around laughing hysterically at the meaningless symbolic efforts of people who's money they already have in their pockets.
The whole thing is like that carnival attraction where you throw balls at a target and if you hit it, the guy in the chair falls in the water. You may hate that guy in the chair and think you have accomplished something wonderful everytime you hit the target and give him a dunk. But at the end of the evening, he dries off and he's got your cash. Who really won that game?
