They always knew he had a weak arm...they went with the selling point that his speed will make up for his weak are and offensively he would be able to provide an OBP that would allow him to utilize his speed.

Making Revere the 4th OF was a poor choice from the start. Because:

Would you truly use him as a late inning defensive replacement with his arm?

Is he a decent enough hitter to allow him to pinch hit it tough spots?

Did he really have any other use as a bench player than as a pinch runner?

The answer to all three of these questions is a resounding NO. So, why was he added to the roster in the first place?

There may have been other factors...such as baseball intelligence maybe...

I remember last season when Revere was supposed to lay down a bunt to move a player over, but was told to look for the wheel play and if it was on to slap the ball through the infield...after Revere successfully bunted the runner over and returned to the dugout, he was asked (paraphrased) by Gardenhire, "why didn't he try to slap the ball through the infield, the opponents had the wheel play on? Revere responded, "What's the wheel play?"

Just maybe there was more of that lack of baseball intelligence going on in that head.

I'm sure it was all of the above. I'm sure he'll be back at some point.

What is the teams current plan with Revere? Are they still holding out hope that he can be a major league outfielder at some point? If not, then will they try trading him and getting whatever they can in return?

I thin kthe team should trade him as quickly as possible, while he still has any value left. If they hold onto him too long, then his trade value becomes zero.

I don't think he has any trade value now when he has shown he is weak in two or three of the five tools they look at.

If he does this team is in huge trouble if they can't find someone else in the organization that is better.
