Because Jason Spitz outplayed him in training camp and the pre season?

That and Sitton is a beast so they needed to move Spitz over to make room for him

Jason Spitz should be playing right guard. I'm not exactly sure but wasn't the 2007 starting line from left to right Clifton, Colledge, Wells, Spitz, and Tauscher? In a few weeks, that's what it needs to be.

Yeah I don't remember. But they were saying that Tauscher right now might be back in a backup role and to provide depth because Babre has been playing better lately. Its a good thing they didn't trade Wells like people were saying they should, never can have enough offensive linemen and we clearly don't have depth there.

Yes that was the line for pretty much the last to years but they enter camp with a three players for two spots and Sitton and Spitz outplayed Wells. I have a feeling the they are going to leave Spitz at left guard and let Wells start when Clifton comes back though

I just think that if it worked in 2007, you can't go wrong with putting the same or close to the same line up out there now. If you're gonna leave Spitz at left guard then where's Colledge once Clifton comes back?

So then Favre should be quarterback since it work in 2007 right? If it not broke don't fit it the guards and center haven't been the problem then actually did pretty good against two tough Vikings tackles. The First game it was Babre but he improve since then the second game it was Clifton and then when he got hurt it was Colledge getting beat. As for Colledge he is a free agent after the season and if the Packers feel that Spitz Sitton and Wells can't do the job they will just let him go. After the bye it is either going to be Wells or Colledge on the bench we will see which one.

Well no not Favre...I just mean the offensive line. I'm not so sure just getting Clifton back will do the trick. I mean yeah, it might....since he coming back shifts everyone back to their normal positions. We'll have to wait and see. If this Sitton guy is that good then yeah keep him playing. I hope Mark Tauscher can contribute...I'm surprised the Packers actually did a smart thing and re-sign him....even though he's not "Thompson's guy." But I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. Regardless, I'm happy to see that Mark will eventually be back in the green and gold.

Yeah, but Clifton wasn't even playing the greatest before the injury, and Tauscher wasn't playing the greatest before his injury last year. I guess it can't get worse though. According to one of the Packers beat writers Tauscher would just be back right now in a backup role to provide depth but if Babre struggles then Tauscher could step in. Babre actually hasn't been that bad the last 2 games, seems like every game its someone new that struggles

Yeah I don't think everyone has struggled all at once. But at at one time or another, someone is always seeming to get beat on a consistant basis.

Not yet. I don't understand why it is taking this long if it is close like it has been reported...

They are gonna wait until Monday to sign him so they didn't have to pay him this week to do nothing.
