Here is to cheering on the Rockets to a build upon year. As we know Yao is out for the year, and Tracy is going to be sidelined; therefore, we will see get a chance to see the younger players grow this year. Plus see further development out of Scola and Brooks. Plus get to watch the hardwork, never give up attitude from Battier and Landry. Here is to fun 2009-2010 season!! The precursor to future championship seasons!!!!

Well she knows I like Scola so we just swapped similar ranked players.

Yeah but she should have gotten a hometown premium. Plus Scola will be more instrumental this year, due to the state and needs of the team. There you go again, taking advantage of younger women.

Technically Odom had higher ranks. It was a fair trade, imo.

I just don't see Odom outproducing Scola this year. Plus he will have plenty of offcourt issues, he will be distracted by his sister-in-law's booty.

I don't know enough about basketball for all that. I just know they had really similar ranks, and with Odom on the Lakers, I think that'll help his numbers. Scola might get more involvement this year, but he'll have to do well with it.

We'll see.

<If the Rockets are in a transition year, one year or two away from being a legitimate playoff contender, then I want to support these West teams: Blazers, Suns and yes even the Spurs.

Blazers - because I would love to see them unseat the Lakers. They have the talent. Big Roy and Aldridge fans.

Suns - they play fun basketball - Amare is going to have a huge year

Spurs - Because they picked up Jefferson in the OS, someone the Rockets should have drafted years ago, but effed up that year. Plus they Blair, someone else the Rockets should have drafted, this last year. Note - I don't like the Spurs, but I like Blair (on my FBT) and Jefferson (because he is woulda-coulda-shoulda player)

Teams I am rooting against

Jazz - eff them and their mothers

Lakers - I hope Artest pulls out a can of "Whip Ass" on Kobe, and somehow Sasha gets involved, and gets bitched slapped.

Mavericks - because Dallas Teams (except for the Rangers) suck.

I don't care enough about basketball to root for anybody if the Rockets aren't in it.

I guess I am one step ahead then. Still can't play it for shizzel. But fun game to watch. I have some great seats in my time. I used to take clients to the games, Red and White Seats (great food, decent view - Yao Ming's parents sat front of us - low enough not to block the view), those were the days...

Rockets are going to be fun to watch this year, playoff bound or not. I wish the Astros were in the same situation. Great MGT with a true direction. I am a huge DM fan. Not to give tbone any props, but he is to the Rockets, as to tbone is to here. Just a math wizard.

I really liked watching back in the days of Hakeem. I've gotten into it again lately, but not a lot.

"I really liked watching back in the days of Hakeem."

His best seasons were when he was Akeem. Hakeem went into a tailspin from which he never recovered.

Whatever he was called in the mid-90's was the one I liked.
