Sorry if I missunderstood your comment. Do you like him now? I had him down last year as a good hitter and he should be able to improve his defense enought to play 1st base. He did say in an interview that he was working hard on improving his defense. Jackson said last year that he was working hard on improving his hitting.

We should know in a couple months if they both succeed. So far so good.

I was suprised to read that Adams was a year younger last year most AA players.

He looks good in the minors and he is pretty bad defensively.

I still think they trade him to an AL team but they might not.

Given all the injuries the Cards are now having to deal with to key players, I favor bringing Adams up to the Big Tent ... now. At the start of the season I was not for this move, but I suspect that this injury problem involving mostly the same players will persist throughout the season ... even tho I hope not.

This season the Cards have had to deal with injury & DL assignments for Schumacher, Linewhatever (irrelevant I think), Craig, Jay, Puma, Beltran, and KMac. That list has too many Key players that are needed for the success of the Cards. And the list doesn't include, yet, Holliday, Furcal, or Freese who have had significant injury problems in the recent past seasons.

I appreciate your posting to keep us up-to-date on the farm boys. It does seem like Tavares, Adams, and Wong are sure-fire roster riders within the next two seasons.

Sounds like Adams is on his way to join the Cardinals before tomorrow's game.

It surely do! The Cards need a power bat ... badly.

I went to the game today and watched Rosenthal pitch.

He was impressive and threw gas.

Taveres looked good also but he loafed on what should of been a double off the wall but he was in his HR trot.

Wong was smooth at 2B swung the bat well, which we already know.

He was throwing a change that was about 83-85 and what looked like a slider at about 89.

"The Cardinals acquired infielder Jamie Romak from the Royals for cash considerations, Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star reports The 26-year-old had been playing for the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers.

Romak, a former fourth round pick by the Braves, has a .246/.345/.443 line in ten minor league seasons. The London, Ontario native has minor league experience at all four corner positions."

THE SEASON IS SAVED!
