    • Is the organization promotion of Duda pretext for trading..

I'd keep Ike and Duda, and maybe even Murphy and Wright (if he plays well the next 2 seasons)
the Mets have always been an anemic hitting teams (yeah right now they could use some more pitching but they got Harvey, Wheeler, Familia, and Mejia and a couple of other good pitching prospects on the Farm, so I think they will be ok in Pitching in a couple years so there's no reason to make the offense any more anemic by trading any of their better hitters for more pitching prospects (at least right now).

i'm not sure the organization is pumping him up as much as the media is....Alderson and Collins have praised his potential but no one has said he's a can't miss star

i hope they don't trade him....lets let him spend a full season with us before we trade him somewhere and watch him hit 30 hrs for another team

i actually agree

ive said all along offer wright an extension to cover 2013-2016 at a total of 50 mil guaranteed (2013-10 mil, 2014 - 10 mil, 2015-12 mil, 2016-13 mil - 2017 mutual option for 15 mil, 5 mil team buyout, becomes player option w/ certain milestones achieved)

im just saying that id RATHER see them keep ike than duda if i can only keep one

You're right in general. I don't think Davis is going because he still has to work for food, but Wright's probably gone...especially if he's having a decent year. Naturally the owners want the gullible to believe they have something worth watching, thus the hype on a very flawed player.

i think it has more to do with trying to get the fans somewhat excited about the season. being positive and upbeat. which every team is this time of year.

Ike Davis will not be traded -- he hits too well and Alderson really values defense.

So are they also ordering the Media to hype up his bullpen sessions? And did Wilpon tell Ike Davis to tell Mike Francesa that he believes Duda is a better hitter than he is?

Duda is an exciting new player and let's not forget the Mets are promoting Duda to sell tickets! Why would the brass discourage mid-season game ticket sales by trading away talented, low salaried players? Wright will not be traded since the owners like him. ... and Wright is a reason why some fans come to the ballpark to watch him play!

Do you think that the organization is pumping up Duda so they can trade wright / davis and still claim that they have someone worth watching in Duda?

They may trade Wright but not Davis. Why would they trade Davis he is a big part of the Mets offense.

Didn't Alderson already offer up Jonathon Niese and Ike Davis for a possible trade this winter or was that just a false rumor ? Doesn't look like anyone is off the table , but they really need to trade for new owners since the plan for rebuilding will eventually call for spending on free agents and with the huge loans Wilpon has due in 2014 and 2015 he ain't gonna have any money to spend for quite awhile !

The Ike Davis part is false, it was originally thought to be him but it was Niese he was open to trading.

I think that they are obviously pimping Duda this offseason b/c in a perfect world they would trade him for a useful starter. Duda is a man without a position on this team, even though we are going to stick him in RF...If his bat plays this Spring, and we can convince someone that he is a budding power hitter under team control, perhaps we can swing a decent prospect for him. Trade Duda!

That is good to be able to watch the mets play and not support them
I have been looking at how I can get to a road Mets game...
I am also picking up a second team to help get me through these tough times... I will be following the Angels as well.. You can get to their games lol
