ANother logical choice with Houston is with them moving the AL, the would now have the DH, which would help compensate for Loney's offensive shortcomings.

I'm hoping his defense has value.

Helton is going under surgery, Rockies seems like a good fit.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. James will be fine, that is of course as long as he hasn't wasted every dollar he has made in his career.

I'd guess he's back in LA on a one-year deal, playing back-up and defensive replacement for Napoli, who splits time between catcher and 1B. I don't think anyone else would look at him as a starter. If he does go somewhere, I'd agree Colorado and Houston most likely destination.

At best he'll be a back-up/bench guy. I don't see him starting anywhere.

As in the Team America - World Police movie, he could be James Ron'ry, so Ron'ry, ah so, Ron'ry? ; )

Loney has made his money IF Loney invested the same, and time for Loney to move on into a new era in his life, possibly a new line of work, I would wish Loney well in this life.

I do see the Yanks picking him up for defensive purposes @ 1B and then they DH Texeira. After all they love to pick up our trash.

...He could break out the old saxaphone around xmas and play "Deck the halls". That should earn him a few bucks.

I think James Loney's days as a starting 1B are pretty much over, especially with the Dodgers. It might be a humbling experience, but he's still young enough to convert back to being a starting pitcher. Hindsights always 20/20 but, maybe Logan White shouldn't have converted him from being a pitcher to a 1B.
