Impossible.

Normal law abiding citisenz (why cant I spell that word) work 9-5 jobs and live in the suburbs.

Everyone else is up to no good.

If reading this board has taught me anything, its that.

Nolan was just acting out in self defense.

Sorry but, he's being charged with a hate crime. This goes well beyond any dustup on a basball field. You guys might not be seeing Delmon for awhile.

It's a misdemeanor charge. I'm sure the Tigers will get him out of the slammer asap.

what, you think Delmon is going to jail and not going to be released on bond?? for a misdemeanor.

please??? He might miss this series just because the Tigers won't want to put him out there in front of the NY crowd. He will be back by Monday.

Did Josh Hamilton miss anytime after his relapse???? I guess thats just fine though, huh???

Getting him out of jail is one thing. Dealing with the charge of a hate crime is something else. Don't think for a minute that the MLB won't be all over the Tigers FO to do something, (ala Ozzie and his Castro statements).

Josh's was in the offseason and he wasn't charged with a crime.

Josh didn't break any laws, nor was he arrested, nor did he sling drunken racial slurs at people.

offseason doesn't mean one darn thing.

And charging and conviction are TWO TOTALLY different things.

were you there?

Due Process if you know what that is.

Does anyone think that Delmon Young is going to get a suspension?

have they had a trial yet?

If he is guilty of what he is charged with, might game a 3 to 5 game suspension.

But for being drunk?? I highly doubt it.

did Cabrera get suspended for his incidents?

Yeah I know what due process is and I'm sure Delmon will be allowed that. On the other hand, the MLB frowns upon their players getting drunk in public and being charged with hate crimes. No doubt thats the biggest issue Delmon will have to face. His punishment from the court system will be minor.

John Rocker got a big one for his "insensitive" comments (Spring Training plus 28 days of the regular season, later reduced to 14). And Rocker wasn't arrested or charged with a crime.

that all is true... but until he is convicted, hes not going to get punished for being drunk.

He will get punished if he is guilty of the "hate crime". But you don't know what was said, etc.

Maybe they called him something as well.

I bet he doesn't play this entire series just because its in NY.

He hasn't even been released from police custody as of yet.

We shall see. If the public outcry gets loud like in Ozzie's case, you better believe the Tiger's FO will act accordingly.
