Yeah, Trumbo looked out of place on 3rd Base. Hopefully he can settle in without too many Errors.

Can you get to the ballpark with public transportation?

I forgot where Carlos Pena played last season.
Just where Sept 28th 2011 was left off, the Tampa Bay Rays came back and won in the bottom of the 9th inning to beat the Yankees again.

So this game was on ESPN last night, I didn't even know that. I thought it was on MLB Network like the SF Giants game at Arizona Diamondbacks, but that game too was on ESPN. Or was it ESPN2?

2 errors, lazy throw to Pujols, 3rd base drop.

Can you get to the ballpark with public transportation?

Amtrak $$ expensive and rare routes from LA downtown and south of stadium.
Angels Express train (Metrolink) specific times $7 from same as above destinations.
Metrolink other times: little pricer but no evening.

I still think Mark Teixeria played better at 1st base when he was briefly with Anaheim.
He showed the ropes, I saw a lot of that in second half of 2009.

Phil Hughes, RHP

The 2011 AL Rookie of the Year hopes to avoid the sophomore jinx. Rays manager Joe Maddon believes he can if he shows improvement against left-handers. Hellickson is 8-5 with a 2.51 ERA in 18 appearances at Tropicana Field.

“I’m not a big fan of warnings because you take away the immediate retaliation of it,’’ Gonzalez said. “You know it’s going to happen. We've all got seven more years here. It might not happen the next series, but eventually it’s going to happen.’’

The Tigers and Red Sox meet again in a four-game series in Fenway Park on May 28 to 31.

Did Gonzalez think Coke was retaliating for Fielder getting hit by Albers the day before?

“There were two strikes,’’ he said. “[Albers] just yanked a fastball. It didn’t even cross my mind.

“I just think it’s a bad call on their end because now it’s putting Miggy’s and Prince’s careers at risk. You know it’s going to happen eventually.’’
