That was a GREAT game tonight! Did you get to watch it? I was actually at the gym jogging on the treadmill and the game was so good I couldn't stop going. I figured if I quit and left for home the game would finish before I got home. LOL

baseball and football games are the only thing to get me through running at the gym! well the ipod too..but with any kind of good game you forget your even on the treadmill...a good distraction indeed...

Thanks! I don't know if the Twins were really good, or if the Tigers were really bad down the stretch...could be both. I didn't think they'd pull this off after hovering around .500 just about all season. That's the second time we've snatched the division from the Tigers on the last day of the regular season (albeit this one being extended). Some Tigers fans also feel we snatched the American League pennant from them back in 1987.

You're right though, we sure will lose that Dome-field advantage after this year. It'll be interesting to see how the guys adapt to a real home field, and where they finish in the league in fielding. It'll also be interesting to see where their payroll ends up too. Ours was well below Chicago's and Detroit's this year, and neither team made the playoffs. I think a lot of eyes will be on those two teams, as there could be some noticeable turnover there. I imagine there'll be a few new faces down in Royals Territory, too, come Opening Day.

I was there...but man, was my stomach in knots at times. I thought after the top of the 10th we were done, but I should know better...the never-say-die Twins came back out. The umpires blew some calls in that game, for both sides. All I ask as a fan is that they get the calls right.

And of course, the fans went crazy getting playoff tickets right afterward. I don't think I got home until 12:45 that morning. I'm just going to enjoy it while I can. I sincerely hope sometime soon the Royals and their fans can too.
