One and out...it was in the stars,as I said a long time ago.I never liked the chance of this team going beyond where they went.Talent yes,chemistry no.Thank you Mr Bowman.I bet they have the lowest % of goals per shot on goal.

Driving home from work last night and listened to the 3rd period on xm radio . the feed was from the Blach Hawks station and the announcer [ great by the way ] who's name I didn't catch kept referring to the Coyotes as the Yotes. Maybe it's just me as I'm more of a casual fan and didn't make a single Coyote game this year but we just refer to them as the Otes.
At times playoff hockey can be extremely exciting but goaltending is the most important. Hopefully with Epstein in charge the Cubs will realize that pitching is the most important in baseball. The closest the Cubs have come to the World Series was when Wood and Prior were dominant before injuries derailed their careers. I like Garza and I don't think that Dempster is as bad as a lot of fans make him out to be but the minor leagues are rather barren of any can't miss pitching prospects and the rest of our starting rotation makes me cringe.
Sorry about the Hawks, the best team didn't win the series, the best goaltender did. Now it's time to focus on the Cubs improving .

39 shots on goal, against 20 for the coyotes. It was obvious after 2 periods that the Hawks were going to need a lot of luck to get one past Smith last night. They outplayed the coyotes, out shot them, and got nothing to show for it. We can't say they gave up, 39 shots on goal is not giving up. I don't think any team could've beaten Smith last night...stellar performance by him. What lost this series for the Hawks, was the same thing that lost them several games this year...NO POWER PLAY. It's pitiful. And the "Stars" of the team didn't produce squat. 3 lousy goals from the stars, for the whole series. Soft goals that Crawford let in, cost them 2 games. Coyotes made their shots count. In the end, Smith was just too big, too strong and too good...in the words of Stacey King.
