Yes...really ugly uniforms..especially the road edition...but worse yet of course is their long standing practice of gaming the system for unfair/unethical advantage ...this is the REAL fundamental reason the Bankee$ are the most despised franchise in the history of sport.

Even before free agency the Bankee$ were using other presumedly major league teams as their personal farm system...(i.e. St Louis Browns, etc.)

with free agency and no salary cap they have completely exploited their geographic advantage (population = revenue) and used their bottomless checkbook to buy stars the way a 10 year old collects baseball cards....and have thus purchased one WS Championship after another...using other small market franchises as free agent culture dishes to develop their future stars ....this of course is all permissable thanks to their unholy alliance with the players union which loves the jacked up long term contracts that result from even having NYY in the bidding process -but also insures that some 20 or so teams are out of contention from jump street each and every season...thus the Commish's push to add wild cards in order to shore up an imbalanced product and enhance revenue while not daring to grow some hair on his wee pair and impose a salary cap and floor like every other major sport ....

We hate them because they always seem to try to steal players the Sox were after. Sox were walking on a deal with Kuroda and suddenly the Yankees steal him away from us. Sox could really use a 3.17 ERA starting pitcher now. Kuroda would have been our ace right now.

We hate them because the yankees always seem to win. Everybody hates winners. I always hate winning teams like the yankees, bulls through their championship run, lakers through their run, etc. There will always be some jealousy for teams that win many championships.... It happens with all teams fan bases.

We hate them because the yankees walk around smug as if they expect to just step on the field and teams will fold for them... Opponents do but the yankees expect that.
