Brandon belt is alittle much to give up for Alexi Ramirez...i'd try to get either Maicer Izturic or Erick Aybar from the Angels since they have depth and Jean Segura waiting in AAA for the call up

Ramirez is under control until 2016 (with the option).

That being said, if Crawford continues to stink it up, then I expect we'll be seeing several threads demanding for a trade. And since there are no impending free agent AS SS, it's going to be guys like Alexi who are on bad teams going no where.

I wouldn't mind Alexi...but if Sabean wants to trade for a shortstop he HAS to go all for it...none of this Renteria, Tejada, Cabrera $hit.

Problem is, no one is trading above average short stops. They're probably the rarest commodity in baseball next to true Aces.

That's why Ramirez is a unique target. He's a owed a pretty good chunk of money on a team that probably is headed toward a rebuild since they won't be able to chase the Tiger the next couple years.

So getting back a cheap player for the future like Belt and getting $26M off their future books is probably something they'd be interested in.

Trade Belt and Pagan for some middle left handed relief they are the ones stinking up the place,, along with some starting pitchers .. If the pitchers can't get the job done you better have some defense out there first, then hitters,, and learn to bunt everyone.. we could have moved runners over 2 times to 3rd and scored on next hitters results.. ahhhh but we all have 20 / 20 hindsight don't we?
