I'll say this, it would not surprise me to see the Pac-12 and B1G pull out of any playoff just to put a wrench in it.
There's been some great things written about Oklahoma's trip to the Rose Bowl where the Rose Bowl committee basically treated them poorly because they were outsiders. Bob Stoops hints at it saying he loved playing in it but couldn't understand why the "tradition" of Oklahoma football wasn't accepted by a bowl that prided itself in "tradition".
Seeing Jim Delaney whimper is good theater
second fiddle to the SEC?
more like 5th fiddle, and now with the PAC-12 having USC off probation that's an even stronger conference.
"I'll say this, it would not surprise me to see the Pac-12 and B1G pull out of any playoff just to put a wrench in it."
Won't surprise me either, but Ohio State won't. Urban Meyers got to keep up his tradition of winning national titles. I'm sure he could care less about the Rose Bowl. Then again Ohio State only cares about one thing, so he will fit in well.
"more like 5th fiddle"
Penn State likes to fiddle...
All writers who I trust covering this seem to think there's no way try walk away from this.
Ohio is a weird creature. Fancies itself a school of education and integrity. Sure don't act that way.
Florida is a top program.
Weaker in hoops but having Kentucky makes them very important. Potential sleeping giant in Tennessee, too. Lots of talent in that state.
What they lack in basketball pedigree, they make for in other sports.
Badgers picked up 2 commitments today.
4 star WR Rob Wheelwright out of Columbus, OH4 star DE Chikwe Obasih from Brookfield
Should have dealt weed for his predecessor
The comments on this article are funny. It's a bunch of ND students pointing out that there school is better than SEC schools. The big problem is that the SEC actually wins football games.
Influential Nebraska President Harvey Perlman is against any playoff system that relegates the bowl games to "NIT" status.
Wow. I didn't even consider them NIT level.
The rest of the conferences should just tell the B1G to go pound sand.
