Time to argueue as to whether you really will give up for this year. You can never be right and you will have to eat pond <scum when you start watching and caring again. By the way how many tickets do you have left for this year? If you have a fire sale I will offer 10 cents for every dollar of face value if the seats are any good.

Oh I have definitely given up on this year. There is no argueuing that. If they do well, I'll be pleasantly surprised and will hoppily (see what I did there?) eat my pond <scum on a platter.

I have many tickets left, and a few I won't be able to use. I plan on going to as many games as I can though.

I have not given up on this year ..and will not until they are mathematically eliminated.

Too many proven major league hitters are having sub-standard offensive year so far. My hunch is that it will balance out for most of them by the end of the year ..which if it does balance out (as it often does) ..then the second half may be the offensive explosion we've been waiting for.

Tigers have a lot of talent ..it just has not lived up to expectations. If they did not have the talent ..then nobody would have had the high expectations to begin with.

I am concerned that the turn-around may be too little too late ..but again ..I'm not giving up until they are mathematically eliminated.

You were wrong and you are still wrong. Having high expectations is a recipe for disappointment. I look at each season and each game as an unknown. I cheer for the Tigers to win, kibitz the manager and GM, and critique the performance of the players. However they are all human and even though their performances may be unacceptable they are forgivable. After all it is just a game played for our entertainment. Baseball is a passion, for me it is a passion to watch, listen, and especially attend. Yes, what we are seeing now is <crap, but it is <crap baseball which makes it the best <crap in the world. I want the Tigers to win every game and then win the WS every year but I know that can never happen. I will cheer and have hope, even when there is no chance for winning this year the hope transfers to next year. Winning is wonderful but even when we lose I still love baseball and still love the Tigers. So don't give up just go with it and enjoy the game.

I disagree. Nearly all geniuses are not a genius in all areas. Someone may be able to perform math calculations as if they had a calculator in their head, but cannot write a decent sentence when writing.
Take me for instance, I am a genius when it comes to women (winks slyly) but I couldn't tell you the first thing when it comes to car mechanics, etc.

No a genius is able to invent a new type of verbal exchange, which I did.
