Not that I think it was right but Elite Players do this stuff too. First one that came to my mind was:

Kevin Brown - Punches Wall and breaks hands
211W-144L / 3.28 ERA /ERA+ 127
http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=240903110

Some of the current stars have had problems too, Harper hit his bat off a wall it splintered and he needed 10 stitches, Tulowitzki slammed his bat against the ground and it shattered and he needed 16 stitches. (Article with a bunch of them http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/127271 not limited to baseball).

Julian Tavarez broke his hand (non-throwing) by punching a phone in the dugout. That was in the NLCS against us. That guy was nuts.

MLBTR says that the Brewers scratched his start in order to give him some more rest, given his recent struggles.

According to BJ Rains, FoxsportsSouthWest, Cardinals prospect SP, Trevor Rosenthal, AA will be promoted to the big league bullpen later today.

I dont know why they would take one of their good starting pitching prospects and put him in the bullpen. We should trade Myers and a bunch of cash for Rosenthal!!!

They did the same thing with Wainwright.... He will end the year in the pen and be a starter again next year.

Yea that makes sense but it just seems like he is ready to start. I wish we could pull a trade to get him.

Letting a good-but-not-awesome SP prospect get his feet wet in the bullpen is pretty common.

"No John Rocker was crazy LOL"

He just had a different take than the PC MOB.

The Stros did the same thing with Roy O when he 1st came up.

I wish the Astros would do the same thing so we wouldn't have to watch the Rodgriguez/Wright/Carpenters terrible picthing, blow games.

Although I do realize why the Stros are not putting the best team on the field that they can.

He is famous for being demoted due to threatening a reporter in 2000, as well as mocking an asian woman, calling his teamate Randall Simon "fat monkey" due to the color of his skin (of which the teamate came out and said it was offensive and not joking between them), calling out his former GM as a "piece of sh!t", being an admitted steroid user, shouting slurs at a diner, known for throwing a ball as hard as he could at a net in front of fans faces in hopes they'd be stupid enough to be scared the ball would hit them, and of course the SI comments that were extremely offensive to just about every group.

I think that's more than just a different take. I understand you have different beliefs in a lot of aspects than I do, but I'm really hoping you either never followed a lot of his antics (I'm sure there were a lot more than what I named above) or you were kidding in your post.

Yeah, Rocker was a horrific bigot and, I have always suspected, the inspiration for Kenny Powers, for those of you who have seen Eastbound and Down.

Honestly, I'd only heard of his comments concerning his lack of love for new york. For this alone, I share a similar lack of love.

The other items are as disgusting to me as to any liberal. I break ranks with liberals when they endorse and promote sin and sinful behavior, not in the rare times they are actually against sin.

I always suspected that Kenny Powers was more of an amalgamation of Kevin Brown and John Rocker...

Yea he was a maniac in general, but his New York comment was the one that got the most hype.

He was also known for intentionally not catching a ball and letting it hit him in the chest on the throw back from the catcher if his fastball or off-speed pitches didn't have their bite.

My best friend was a big Braves fan, so it was a good conversation point (especially since they constantly dominated us in the playoffs lol)

•The Tigers would like to add a left-handed starter, but are wary of taking on all of Wandy Rodriguez’s contract, Morosi reports (on Twitter). Rodriguez earns $10MM this year and $13MM next year. His contract includes a $13MM option for 2014 that becomes a player option if the Astros trade Rodriguez

Mlbtraderumors.com

2 reports are saying Astros would have to almost 75% cover the Player Option and 50% Next Year plus half owed this year to get a Very Good deal from the Tigers.

IE Wandy Rodriguez and 17 Million to the Tigers for Possible Not sayig yes becouse most reports are saying No Nick Castellonos or Jacob Turner and a Prospect or Bruce Rendon, Rob Brantly, Andrew Oliver and PTBNL

Some reports Suggest if the Astros Pay Close to 20 Million of Wandys Contract Nick Castellonos would be on the Table and Others say If they Pay More They might be able to get both Turner and Castellonos.

According to a follow-up tweet by Morosi (https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/225278094351675393)
Astros *may* be willing to eat some significant chunk of Wandy's contract.

Also, St Louis is possibly interested in Wandy + cash, which according to the article, the Astros *are* willing to pay (at least in part):

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/mlb-rumors/19601809/report-cardinals-eyeing-pitching-market

So, not too surprisingly, the feeling seems to be that the Astros are willing to take on at least some of Wandy's contract. I expect in the end they will be willing to take on a big chunk.

Haha...This was shaping out to be your most reasonable post ever until you threw in that last part. No sources are saying that we could get Castallanos or Turner for Wandy, much less BOTH. Don't make stuff up, dude.
