I agree and it is not beyond possible that they have a game that they dont even put a ball in play. It may be a stretch to say that they have a game where they dont even foul one off but it is possible. Anyone hitting the waiver wires will have a good chance winding up in Minnesota. And I thought watching Nick Punto at bat was painfull.

How about getting Big Papi to Minnesota in 2013 for one year contract plus an option ?

The middle of the lineup would be

C Maur
1B Morneau
DH Ortiz
LF Willingham

It looks pretty solid when the Twins can concentrate on prospect development. Also Ortiz could potentially warp his career up where he started.

Or if the BoSox wants to unload Big Papi just before the trading deadline.... Eptsein & Co. traded away Garciaparra to the Cubs so Cherington & Co. could make things happen likewise.

What you preach about the Twins is nothing new. There are some that try to remain optimistic under the circumstances and then there are some that don't have any sense of reality at all.

Are we mad about the situation the Twins are in? Absolutely. But if you have a sense of reality it would be nice to see some realistic posts and not something that is fiction.

We can see on this site every day complaints about players being finished so trade them, players that didn't hit a HR in every AB so they are a failure, this player can't catch, or that one can't run or the other can't pitch. That's where reality should take over but in many cases it doesn't. If anyone on this site really feels the Twins are capable of winning over 70 games this season they are in LaLa land. This team is overall worse off than the 2011 team and that team was plagued with injuries.

We all like good conversation...most if not all don't appreciate silly comments whether made when mad or not. On this site we are all in the same boat. We WANT the Twins to win and get frustrated when the FO and/or manager do things that may hinder that desire of a win. Reality is the key.

Baseball is a game of adjustment and lot of weird things has happened and thats why some fans stays optimistic and wants the team to win regardless what kind of year they came off from. 1987 twins came off from 2nd last in 1986 with 91 loses and won it the next year. Just because in reality and on papers that the team will be a total failure and according to your win meter they will not win more than 70 games then why bother watching this season ? Its seems to me that you want this team to fail so you can boast and brag " I told you so that my win meter works ".

The team will play much better and win a few if your boy steps up to the plate and play like he is really earning his money.

No royal...you have to watch the game of baseball for the love of it and your team. If your team is good or bad you stick with them no matter what. It is the same with any sport or endeavor you love. It has nothing to do with bragging rights...it IS reality. Right now this team is struggling big time...does it help to boo a player that is trying to do his job? Does it help to not get behind the players and cheer them on no matter what? That's what a true fan does.

It also doesn't preclude a fan getting frustrated with current situations with their team. Is complaining about their team right or wrong? That is left to the fan doing the complaining. But I can tell you that all Twins fans want their team to win...it just doesn't mean that will make it so.

I feel I know what type of team the 2012 Twins have. Whether my 'Twins Win Meter' is correct or not it is irrelevant and doesn't make the Twins better or worse...that they do on their own. Am I disappointed the organization has let us, the fans down? You bet...but I won't let that ruin my enjoyment of watching my team play the game I love...baseball...no matter how hard it gets to watch.

Are you questioning my fan hood ? are you telling me how to root for my team and say IMO what is wrong and tell it the way it is and expect what I think they are capable of ? I don't care how many loses they will have, all I wanna see that they are leaving out everything in the field which they are not.

Why a paying fan would not boo when a player can't play what is expected of him ? They are not true fans then ???? I will get two warnings at my job and then I will be fired if I am not doing my job properly. May be it should tell you something and you should take a very good, long look in the mirror when even the twins fan are booing at you, which is very rare.

Think about it.

This is my team and as a fan I have every right to expect them play at a higher level. Or atleast see them try their best no matter what the pundits say on paper or predicted already how many loses.

Not at all...go back and read what I wrote. You're mad and you aren't really reading what I wrote.

BTW that is how I see myself as a fan. If others don't that's their choice.

" I don't care how many loses they will have, all I wanna see that they are leaving out everything in the field which they are not."

...and I don't disagree one bit with that philosophy. But, how do YOU know that they aren't? Don't add money into it...none of the baseball players are worth whet they are getting paid.

As I posted, if you want to boo or complain that is left up to the individual fan. But, though I may get frustrated with the Twins I don't spend good money going to a game to get mad and have my day ruined. When I watch baseball it doesn't matter what teams I am watching I love the game...though I have a much greater interest in watching the Twins. If they play poorly do I get frustrated? Absolutely, but I also try not to let it ruin MY day, especially when this team simply isn't that good. Does that mean a fan should not get mad or upset? No it doesn't. But why let it ruin your day?

I don't know you tell me, you lost me there.

HUH ? You think this team is leaving everything there ? You think the core players Mauer taking the 1st pitch and falling behind the count quickly and not adjusting to it is not leaving everything to the field ? When Justin probably knows that he shouldn't be pulling the ball even though its coming to the heart of the plate and just go with the ball with bases loaded when only a base hit up the middle gets two men in ? When Perkins loses his cool in his consecutive outings and not learning from his previous mistakes is leaving everything on the field ?

With the team the Twins put on the field some of the players are struggling but I do feel they are trying their best. I don't always like their best but I do not think they are giving up. Just because the players don't have something positive happen on every pitch or AB doesn't mean they aren't trying. The failure rate in baseball is naturally high and when the Twins or any team is struggling it is even higher. So I can discuss and complain about the Twins like everyone else and this year I have but I don't let it affect my day. Because as I said I don't expect a lot from this team and it makes it much easier to live with their failures.

No-hit this year?
A pitcher from the Os had a no-no for six innings against them and that same pitcher lost to a JuCo team in Spring Training!
A JuCo team beat him and he stifled the JuCo Twins

Did he get the no hitter?

There are a lot of almost no hitters, but almost doesn't count does it.

As usual the Twins fans miss the point and can't take off their blinders

A JuCo team beat him and a semi-MLB team couldn't.

As usual a troll comes on board talking about no hitters and doesn't know what he is talking about looking like a fool.

BTW the Twins AA team almost beat the ML Twins before the season starts. Who cares...

The point that was made earlier by another poster was that the Twins had a good chance to get no hit this year and not put a ball in play. Doesn't sound like it fits into either of your silly little comments does it. Though it may be just as silly.

One day when you quit saluting the Twins flag, take off the blinders, and realize that this is not a good baseball team then maybe something you say will be worth noting. Until then you can go ahead and keep slobbering over mediocre baseball
