I've met PNC/Heinz announcer Randy Cosgrove. He went t school at Plum with my wife. No big deal then agaon yes it is a big deal. I might become a Democrat if the job was mine if I did so. NAH!!

Cosgrove was a gym teacher at Plum when I was a kid, years before he became the AD at Ambridge.

Not sure if you are aware, Cosgrove "resigned" both his Ambridge AD job, and the Steeler stadium announcer job this summer over financial irregularities at Ambridge.

KDKA radio personality and voice of Steeler highlight films Larry Richert is taking over for Cosgrove at Steeler games.

We may have conversed before about this but my wife is from Renton. She was a Painter. She has two younger sisters. My wife was a '72 Plum graduate. Her sisters were '79 and '81.

There are times I cannot stand Richert. Then again he is a very charitable fellow who gives back a lot. It's just when you hear him narrate let's say the Steeler's season highlights video and you know exactly what he looks like it is almost humorous. It is like imagining Wally Cox in a boxing ring.

He wrote a story called Shannon's Rainbow that is an independent movie. If you think you are a big tough guy, you know all stoic and manly, that movie will reduce you to tears.. LOL!!!...however I am being serious.

Yes, I recall you telling me Mrs. Beiser is from Renton. A few years ahead of me....I was an 82 grad from Plum. - Grew up one block from the old Harding School on Unity Center Road if you know where that is?

Some of my fondest memories as a child are playing little league at the Boro Fields right down the road from Renton.

Maybe I missed something or maybe they've changed the video, but he mentions Clemente and they show a small statue of him and then the guy mentions Hank Aaron and they show his photo and that's it.

Yes the picture was indeed corrected. Originally there was a photo of a young, light skinned fellow wearing the 70's gold hat and knitt uniform. The'New Era' logo of today on the background ,
