I'm a Jays fan. I remeber two years ago thinking that as long as Vernon Wells occubys a spot on this team, we cannot move forward. You guys are in the same boat. As long as Vernon is playing on the Angels.... you will not succeed.

"It seemed like they had a great Spring Training and then came out flat on opening day."

The Angels won 5-0 on opening day. An extremely exciting win.

I am more concerned about the pitching then the hitting. We know Albert will hit, but will Santana get it going this year? and the middle relief is horrible (back to the arson squad).

I agree with you. He is the worst hitter in the majors and they will just keep penciling his name in the lineup. You guys should build a statue of Reagins and Scioscia.

He is not the worst hitter in the Majors. Why do you exaggerate like that?

Even the Royals - who have lost 12 in a row - are closer to their division lead than the halos right now. Not to mention that 2 or their 3 TOTAL wins were against us in our own park. Sad...

Unfortunately it's not an exaggeration. In 2011 he had the worst OBP for a hitter with 500 abs since 1904. That is 111 years.

As long as the Angel hitters keep putting themselves in 0-2 counts the collapse will continue. Hatchers inability to have the hitters make adjustments is the issue here. He needs to go.

"Hatchers inability to have the hitters make adjustments is the issue here."

I, too, am mystified as to why a lineup that looks so invincible on paper are hitting like quadriplegics. But do we know for sure that the problem is Hatcher?

We do not know for sure, however he is the common denominator to all of them. Make the change it can't get any worse.

Angel collaspe is a team collaspe. Why are you pointing at one man. You need to open your eyes or maybe you don't understand why your team is not winning. It's not the hitting coach fault.

Yep.

The hitting coach is not the entire problem, but he certainly hasn't been part of the solution either!

Ed,

I have a question for you. What do you think a hitting coach does each day? What do you think the job entails?

Yeah, you're right about that.

The baseball world hasn't seen a collapse like this fan base since:

"Fly ball to Right Field, Cruz goes back to the wall........."

I'm sure you're the first to tell everyone you'd much rather not make the playoffs than to lose the WorldSeries in seven games.

Or five.

LOL

The funny thing is, I was actually hoping the Rangers might FINALLY get it done, but no, they went into their 40's & 50's Dodgers act.

Doesn't bother me at all. I waited 48 years just to get to the WorldSeries.
