Really? Just because I know more than you?

I really don't care what you thought of my thread. There was a point to it, but you didn't bother to look for that either.

I do enjoy baseball, much more now that I have a better understanding of sabermetrics. It helps you analyze things rather than just sit there and wonder why things don't go the way you think they should.

Playing the hot hand? What the fuq does that have to do with anything? People are trying to help you and you are being willfully ignorant

Go back to talking to someone that is as ignorant as you obviously are.

Hey buddy, I am not sure why you are bashing me. I know you are above that kind of thing.

LOL, that's right, use that tired "circular" BS. You have yet to show me once where that actually happened. Just put me on ignore so you don't accidentally learn something.

No one on this MB is worth that kind of aggravation. Thats all I was talkin' about.

I have no problem riding the hot hand and I have never once said letting him play now is a bad idea. He is hot, definitely let him play. It is just people who have him penciled in to the lineup for next year, the year after and think he has a future based upon what he has done in 8 games so far. Those are the posts I respond to

"Yes, it is a highly individualistic sport, akin to tennis and bowling"

What a lousy line up. If a team needs/uses Jeff Baker in the 5 hole, that team is in big trouble. Soto and Byrd back to back is awful as well.

Well maybe the line up will surprise us and score some runs and get Garza the win

That still doesn't mean you should be bashing me. That's pretty rude, especially for good friends like us.

A difference between a guy like me and a guy like you: If there is something I WANT to know, I am not afraid to ask. Nor am I afraid to acknowledge that I do not know everything.

I don't CARE about Sabermetrics that much. To you that equates that I = am not as smart as you to have baseball opinions.

Ya know what Jack? I truly do not care what the f you think of me or any of my posts. Go ahead and recite arcane BABIP, URZ, blah blah if that's what you enjoy.

One thing about all that esoteric carp I've noticed when you TRY to use it: you are extremely INCONSISTENT with it. That is what makes your arguments so WEAK and frustrating.

Now 'scuse me. I have to go get HIGH and relax for some baseball.

LOL, yes, I claim I know everything, don't I? The difference between us is that I know me a lot better than you think you do.

Fine, don't care, but then don't get your panties in a bunch when someone mentions it either.

I already said that, I am not sure why you think it matters.

When have I EVER been inconsistent with it? You are just making that up. That's pretty weak.

I figured by your posts that you were already high.

" It is just people who have him penciled in to the lineup for next year, the year after and think he has a future based upon what he has done in 8 games so far. "

Hahahaha.

The EXACT same thing can be said about you PROCLAIMING he has absolutely ZERO future. Ridiculous to the 17th power!

I also like how you say *8* games. Riiiiight. Disregard his MVP year last season @ AAA

but I know, I know...it doesn't count. It's the PCL and he's 28, blah, blah, blah.

You and Windy can start the official, "You heard it here first folks, Brian LaHair will NOT be a starter after June this year!"-club

Enjoy what LaHair is doing; stop being such a nerd.

I never said he doesn't have a future for sure, anything can happen and I would love to be proven wrong but it doesn't look good at this point. Any player that strikeouts more than once every 3 at bats is going to be in trouble, then you go and look to see that his BABIP is .550 and 200 points higher than his actual average(at most it should be 60 points or so higher) and things don't look good.

Right now it looks like at best he will be a Mark Reynolds type of line. Personally I am not a fan of players who either strikeout, walk, or hit a homerun. It is a big reason why I did not want Adam Dunn when he was a free agent

Man if it would help pass it to the entire team lol.
Doing good man, ready for some ball. Was so bored with last nights uninspiring performance that I fell asleep during the game. Hopefully our offense has their game of the week tonight so that doesn't happen again- I don't want to burn the house down!

SMH

Doesn't look good at this point. DOESN'T LOOK GOOD AT THIS POINT?!? (Insert bigger font, same phrase)

Eweeeeeee.

It doesn't look good at this point?

<Shit, mom always said, "Don't play ball in the house."

Things always look fine to people that don't understand what is happening.
