Anyone watch All-Star Saturday? Pretty bad.

The new dunk contest rules blow. It's too drawn out and I don't want to hear Kenny Smith talking in between each dunk. That, and there were maybe 2 cool dunks total (the glow in the dark one especially)

I agree with Kenny Smith talking between dunks, but I actually liked the new rules. No one really cares who wins anyway. They just want to see some athleticism. Buddinger was a pleasant surprise. I liked it better than some of the trash we've been given in recent years, but it seems I was in the minority. Lack of star power definitely hurt this year's event.

Did you see Kyrie Irving absolutely mail it in during the skills competition? He realized he was representing a less fortunate individual, right?

Trade idea before the deadline....Asik, Butler, and a 1st RDP to the Hornets for Chris Kaman, C/F, age 30 in April...Kaman has a career avg. of 11.8 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 74.0 FT, 48.3 FG, 1.4 bpg, 29.6 mpg...his averages for this season are about the same...I think a frontcourt player like Kaman would really help the Bulls. He scores, rebounds, and can play center or PF. I don't know if cap requirements would prevent the Bulls from making such a trade, but I'd like to see the Bulls improve the backup center position for the playoffs. I don't know if the Bulls would have to pay a luxury tax for going over the cap if they acquired Kaman, but it would be worth it in my opinion to improve the roster for the playoffs. He is 7'0" 265 lbs. I don't know what Kaman's current contract is. All I know is he could help the Bulls.

Won't work. Kaman makes $14 million this year, last year of his contract. He would be a good guy to pick up for a Dwight Howard deal, as the Magic might want a guy with an expiring contract.

I have to give soxmania some credit, Kaman would be an upgrade over Asik. Asik has been a disappointment this season. He's shooting FT's like he was Dwight Howard. Plus he's only averaging only 3 points a game. Maybe he has GordonBeckamitis? Good his first year, $ucks from here on out. But if the Bulls or any other team do in fact trade for Kaman it would be for two things: 1. Salary relief after the season & 2. Getting him and trading him for Howard because Orlando would want an expiring contract in any deal for Howard.

i watched kaman against the bulls and he couldn't miss..hard to believe they sent him home and he wou;dn'y play again prior to that...i was so impressed i picked him up for my fantasy team and he has been producing good fantasy numbers...

the financials would make it hard for the bulls to acquire him but its an interesting idea

I was okay with who participated. It's just that I didn't think many of the dunks were that creative.

I didn't watch the skills challenge but that doesn't surprise me.

Don't get me wrong, Kaman is an upgrade, but two players and a 1st rounder is a little too much.

I picked him up as well. Okafor has been a bust.

Bulls 99 Hornets 95....Deng 14, 11...Boozer 14, 7...Noah 15, 5, 16...Hamilton 5, 5, 2 (17 min.)...Rose 32, 9, 2...Brewer 6...Gibson 5, 7...A win is a win. I'm hoping Hamilton can get up to 24 mpg, stay healthy, and score 10+ ppg the rest of the way. Our frontcourt is getting the job done. Our only weakness is the SG position. Hamilton and Brewer must come through if the Bulls don't make a trade at the deadline....28-8 record.

...Does Carlos Boozer even know where the ball is on defense? He just got beat down the floor by a guy who is like 60 years old.

Bulls 96 Spurs 89...29-8 record....Deng 10, 9...Boozer 8, 8...Noah 10, 13...Hamilton 2 (1 of 8)...Rose 29, 4...Brewer 8, 5...Gibson 7, 5...Korver 8...Watson 12, 4....Nice win at San Antonio by the Bulls...This game proves to me the Bulls truly are one of the top 5 teams in the NBA. Nice game by Noah, Rose, Gibson, Korver, Deng, Brewer, and Watson. I'd like to see Boozer do better against some of the better NBA teams.

Boozer such a pain in the asz. Just when you thought the guy was finally starting to play better he goes back to his old tricks... Noah on the other hand has been great. Been playing at an All star level the last few weeks...

Were probably going to need him to show up in order to beat Miami in a 7 game series..

But you're predicting Chicago to beat Miami, aren't you?

That's the one thing that I'm most worried about against them, other than health. Like I said before, I think this Bulls team at full strength has the toughness and discipline to execute well enough to beat Miami, but the Boozer-Bosh matchup is a clear advantage to them no matter which way you slice it. He's too slow to guard Bosh facing up and won't rotate in time to take away his jump shot. We can put Noah on him, but then that forces Boozer into a more active help defense role, which is never good. Honestly, I have no idea how the Bulls defended Miami as well as they did last postseason.

Bulls need to act fast if they want Gasol. Rondo is expected to be moved before the deadline by Boston. You figure LA would be an ideal place for him. Package Boozer & Watson now for Gasol & swap future 1st round pick between the two teams (Bulls would get the earlier pick) or if LA doesn't want to do that ask for their 2nd round pick. The Bulls can't beat Miami in 7 games with what they got. Boozer can't be trusted in clutch time. It looks like Rose is healthy once again, so Watson could be expendable. James looks more than capable of backing up Rose at PG this year. They can always draft/trade for a backup to Rose in the off season. The Bulls need an upgrade at starting PF or at backup center, IMO. Gasol would answer one of their problems.

C - Noah, Asik, Scalabrine
PF - Gasol, Gibson
SF - Deng, Korver
PG - Rose, James
SG - Hamilton, Brewer

12th man would be either Lucas or Butler, the other practice squad.

I don't think the Lakers make that trade. It's obvious they want Pau gone, but is Boozer and Watson really going to solve their problems? It certainly won't push them past OKC. From a Bulls perspective, I'm not sure I make that trade either. John Lucas/Mike James(who was released, but likely would be re-aqcuired if this trade went down) getting backup PG minutes in the playoffs? No thanks.

Not to mention, this rumor was started from an unreliable Spanish source. I don't see it happening.
