Of course they can do it...It's all about the investment...Nothing more nothing less.

That's exactly what I said.

So tell it to Verducci's sister on this thread.

perhaps, but are any of those problems solved by having chapman start at the mlb level right now?

wec27......................................

Yes, In my opinion, had Chapman been in the mix from the start of the season, which he had earned by his good Spring, it would have given the rotation a whole different look and had he pitched in Homer's spot we might have had a different outcome in one early game as to where our starter would have given the opposing offense a different view and certainly cooled off all their lefties and had made it so the righties had to make adjustments and then there could have even been a carry over effect when Mike Leake pitched the following day. I think if Chapman had made 2 starts I think we could possibly have a winning record.

--13 games in we are waking up a little--

Yep, I couldn't believe what I was hearing on the radio today. Home runs. Runs. Scoring. By the Reds. I thought they would make Wainwright look like Cy Young today, but they didn't. Reds finally won one. I was sure glad to hear Marty say, "This one belongs to the Reds." He may not be saying it very often. Have to relish the wins when they come.

Reds double up the Cardinals' B lineup today 6-3. Hair boy gave them 8 innings. A nice game. Too bad I couldn't watch it on TV.

You can't put him in the pen because he takes forever to warm up. Frankly, I think Chapman is in the pen because of a numbers game, namely Bailey is out of options.

I'll say 15 total starts.

No one listened. Now they're paying the price with L's.

which games that the Reds have lost would Chapman have made the difference in?

they scored 1 freakin' run in each of Bailey's 2 losses. are you assuming Chapman would have pitched 2 shutouts?

I don't recall saying that if a pitcher can't throw a full season he doesn't belong in the Major Leagues. Can you copy and paste that comment from me?
=====================================

"This innings limit BS is ridiculous. If someone that young can't endure a full season pitching while Jamie Moyer can pitch until he's 70, he better get the heII out of Dodge."

... it reads as if "Dodge" would be the major leagues
