14 employees? This is a strange story- I suspect there's more to it.

We need unions because they draw overseas companies to send us their manufacturing jobs. We apparently, work cheaper and better than they do in China. Roll eyes.

Prosakauer Rose LLP in Boca Raton, says that under the ‘at will’ rule an employer “can fire for good reason, for bad reason, or for no reason at all, if the reason is not illegal.”

Ah, the facts. No need for unions still stands.

The Unions need to go far far away. They serve absolutely no purpose anymore other than absconding with members money and damaging productivity in the marketplace. They are a large part to why all of the production jobs left the US. If only more states would adopt the right to work laws we might be able to drive them out for good.

You see what "right to work" laws get you? Fired for wearing orange shirts.

Maybe you should figure out what a "right to work" law actually is. It is the "at will" employment statutes that you are angry with. Right to work has to do with Union dues and whether or not a place can require someone to join the Union as a condition of employment.

A "right-to-work" law is a statute that prohibits union security agreements, or agreements between labor unions and employers that govern the extent to which an established union can require employees' membership, payment of union dues, or fees as a condition of employment, either before or after hiring.

Yeah, they are great with liver and you just gotta have them in stew and on a good hot dog.

Wait, I think I misread the title.

Unions? An invaluable part of the development of American workforce. But the laws are on the books and they've served their purpose, outlived their usefulness. In this day and age they are an albatross.

Sorry, numbskull but Oprah's company was losing money and layoffs are inevitable in that case.

It's not the same as firing people for wearing orange shirts.

Only an idiot would think they are the same situation. But then again, you are an idiot.
