Does the loser get to discuss baseball upstairs? I think that would be fine since its baseball season but no political posts up there.

Right, the news media are just messengers and they never milk a story for all its worth.

There is no case... I was being nice and allowing him to discuss baseball. Although, justice is sometimes fuzzy in this country so you never know what will happen.

I was referring to you not being a conservative, not the terms of the bet. (And it was a joke BTW).

I think this story merited coverage from the beginning, however the local and state law enforcement efforts to push it under the rug brought on the firestorm. And deservedly so.

Were you a bit surprised when Ron Paul went NOWHERE again this time around?

What does Ron Paul have to do with anything?

Nothing, except Mr. Big said that he is a Libertarian. I heard that is what Paul claims to be.

A question we ALL asked ourselves as we saw the top of his head stickin up from behind the podium at the Republican debates.....

Exactly....and WHY did they feel the need to sweep it under the rug, tamper with witnesses, shut down the investigator, and 'hide' Trayvon Martin's body from his parents if George Zimmerman is so innocent.

It seems to me, if they felt so confident in Zimmerman's innocence, they would have fully investigated, immediately contacted Trayvon's parents upon identification of his body, not tamper with witness statements (instead of 'correcting' them), not try to hide the incident, and not lie when they did give a press conference.

If they had nothing to hide, what's up with all that.

And, it was homicide investigator, Chris Serino, that told Trayvon's father he didn't believe Zimmerman, wanted to question him - but was shut down by the state attorney's office.

The kind of work the media has done forcing this case to be re-examined and brought into the open is why it long ago earned the name of "The Fourth Estate".
