I'll go further in that for a 5th starter he's been stellar. Yes I know that there is probably a 50/50 shot that he'll go back to what we've seen for the last 5 years, but, as of up to now he's probably one of the best 5th starters in the league.

"Beat up on the scrubs but lose to the good teams"

The only teams we have a losing record against are:

Arizona: (4-5, and we should be over .500 but lost some bad games to start the season. Meh...)
Cincinnati: (2-4, Who have beat up on most teams. Good team.)
Angels: (1-2, On a major hot streak when we played. Good team.)
Miami: (2-5, Not a good team, just never play them well.)
Seattle: (1-2, Not good team, just a bad series on this one.)
Texas: (1-2, Shut-out in 2 games. Good team.)

We have a winning record vs every other team we've played this year. No team has swept us. So the "good teams" you think the Giants lose to consist of Texas, LAA, Cincinnati and Arizona. And that's if you see Arizona as a good team. 4 whole teams... I think you're vastly over-exaggerating this whole thing.
