At this point, I have to congratulate the news media. They've successfully taken a local murder case and turned it into a source of racial division reminiscent of the O.J. Simpson trial. The trial hasn't even started but the media has already won their pyrrhic victory.

If it weren't for the media, we wouldn't even be seeing a charge filed against Zimmerman! Perhaps if local and state law enforcement had done their jobs, there wouldn't have been a need to involve the media to this degree. The fallout is on their heads.

Except the facts seem to be supporting their initial judgment. I'd be surprised if this even goes to trial.

Well, I am sure you've been surprised before. So, it shouldn't be too big a shock for you when Zimmerman either gets convicted of or pleads down to voluntary manslaughter.
