With how bad gas prices will be this summer, I'm not sure how often I want to drive down there. At least I don't have to pay for my own gas anywhere because we got rid of our old van because it had too many problems so we have 2 cars now.

The ruling was 2-1. That means 2 people sided with Braun. Who was the other? Is that a player union rep?

I've been wondering the same thing. Yeah that guy was the deciding vote but one of the other people had to vote for Braun in order for him to be the deciding factor.

Crew celebrates Braun's successful appeal

Brewers right fielder Corey Hart was in the backyard of his Valley-area home when he found out that Ryan Braun will be across the outfield on Opening Day at Miller Park.

"I was doing cartwheels out there," Hart said.

Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy, a vocal Braun supporter over the winter, argued that "the correct decision has been made."

"We all expected this to happen," Lucroy said. "I believed him the whole time. I'm glad this decision has been made and we can move on. We've got one of the best hitters in the world back in our lineup."

You do realize there is still no explanation as to why the sample tested positive right? I know you are a Brewers homer so obviously he could never cheat, but if you open your eyes, maybe....just maybe you can have a reasonable conversation.

So apparently a writer for SI, Will Carroll, is saying that Braun's camp was actually able to repeat the process and not only show how the sample became corrupted, but also produce an identical result of insanely high testosterone. reportedly the story will run tomorrow on SI.com

Braun is exonerated and somehow FedEx gets the black eye in all of this. They should really look into opening 24 hrs.

But seriously, the sample sitting in some guys apartment for a few days before it goes to the lab is a really shady way of running a scientific test. I don't see this as getting off on a technicality. Sure, that is the approach his lawyers took, but it likely wasn't the only leg they had to stand on. It was just the best legalese approach to win the case.

This will change the way the testing process is handled in a good way for the game. Braun's name will be "randomly" pulled up for testing more often this season. I know he's going to face hecklers on the road all season. Can you imagine a 40-40 MVP season this year? How great would that be.

I saw that tweet from one of the SI writers. The thing that I find ridiculous about people saying its a technicality is that the arbitration board aren't stupid people. That's why they were picked, especially the arbitrator himself. No lawyer is just going to side with a player or a small little technicality.

Needless to say a guy keeping it in his frig all weekend is a complete breakdown in chain of custody.
