It was an electric Opening Night for Halo fans and the team didn't disappoint the faithful as Weave shut down the Royals through eight while waiting for the offense to give him some runs. And give him they did, scoring 5 in the bottom of the 8th with the big blow coming on EA's bases loaded triple (exactly what I called as he strolled to the plate!). Downs closed out the 9th as the Angels open up the season with a 5-0 win.

The Angels hit the road for the first time in 2012 and come out on top in Minnesota, 5-1. CJ went 7 innings in his Angel debut giving up a single run on 3 hits. He got all the offense he needed on rbi from Torii and Bobby in the first. Iannetta added a pair of rbi in the 7th and came home on a suicide squeeze perfectly executed by EA.

Winning cures ills and the Angels 7-1 win over the Yankees today cured what's been ailing them! With homers from Iannetta, Howie and Vernon along with a run-scoring double from Albert the Angels overpowered the Yankees behind a strong outing from CJ.

Angels defeat A's 6-0! Light that baby up!!!

The Angels jumped on a red-eye out of NY and headed home to open up a critical 7-game homestand in hopes of righting the ship and they took a great first step with a 6-0 shellacking of the A's.

Leading the way was Kendrys with a first inning 3-run jimmy jack and a run scoring double in the 8th. The A's then got sloppy and gave up two more runs.

Weave gave another strong outing and the shutout was held up by the pen.

And can't forget Maicer's webgem in the 8th. Is the job really between Trumbo and Callaspo?

It's good to have the boys home and playing well, so....

It was Big Bang Friday at the Big A and the biggest bang of the night was the bases clearing double off the bat of Howie to break the game open. Jerome Williams battled for the win and Waldo got the save of the 6-3 win over the O's.

With the weather delayed game of the Rangers/Tigers, we picked up 1/2 a game.

For the first time this season the Angels have a winning streak! And a series win! Tonight the Halos downed the O's 6-3 behind Weave's complete game and a lot of singles from the offense.
