Actually, I enjoyed Winrockies, I found his tirades enticing to the say the least. Sometimes the best reads are from a teams homerfans (we have em on our board too) cause they get so crazy that it's funny. On a forum note, he was always cool to me, I've found that if you come to another teams board and just try to talk baseball you can avoid most craziness.

Anywas, happy Easter everyone, not sure when our two teams first meet (I don't memorize the sched) but looking forward to our first series, may we be more competitive with you then we have been in DBacks land, that is a pretty good team, they'll give the NL-W a major run this year.

They aren't as good as they were. It is the simple principle of Occam's razor...an exotic hypothesis in competition with the simple one, it is almost always the simple one that turns out to be true. Let it go...you just make yourselves look silly.

They did have a drop off last year going just 38-43 at home, but as we well know, they had all sorts of problems with the starting rotation, the closer spot fell apart, the bullpen was a mess most of the season, Cargo was hurt a good portion of the year and fell off in productivity, Tulo got off to a very slow start and didn't recover until fairly late in the season, third base was a horror story, Ianetta wasn't very productive....but I guess it is easier to believe that all that was the result of the humidor ;)

They get so worked up about this issue. I shouldn't poke them but can't help it. All emotion and fantasy with zero facts. Like MLB found no wrong doing.

That's compelling. I'm not saying that they were tampering but I am saying it's possible, maybe even likely. As for your before and after stats every sane fan knows that the Rockies organization has been shredded since the Rocktober mirage. It's not the monitoring, it's Jim Tracy and Dan O'Dowd. Pretty easy to figure out, really.

Why did the Yankees and sox start 0-3? Why did Jason hammel carry a no no into the eight? How on earth did you one year wonders even get to the Series much less win one? All mysteries for sure, but that amateur Charlie miller sure wanted to make a name for himself with some childish conspiracy theory while MLB collectively rolled their eyes. He lost all credibility for a lot of people and involved a whole franchise that didn't have much class in the first place to make baseless accusations oops I mean express concerns (more eye rolling). Last year, the Rox were 35-46 on the road. In 2010, they were 31-50. I'm not sure in what universe a 4 game improvement (that is slightly over 4%) over the course of 81 games constitutes a statistically significant improvement. In 2010, the Rox hit .226 on the road. Last year, their road average made the incredible jump to .242 ... A magnificent climb of 16 points (about 1 hit per game). Again, how does that constitute real "improvement?" I would challenge you to have your facts straight before you offer unsubstantiated and unsupportable claims.
