    • 4/25 line up

Not be a pr.ick here, but how about we save our judgements on this line-up until around the 4th or 5th inning. All I see is a bunch of doom saying over something like a small top of the line-up swap. Plus Cozart is a rookie people, who is just coming off TJ surgery on his non-throwing arm. How about we let him rest a bit in the first half of the season so he doesn't tank hard in the second half when we really need him for a play off run. All rookies tire out and if we exhaust cozart before the all-star break any deep playoff run we plan on making is significantly reduced without him.

"how about we save our judgements on this line-up until around the 4th or 5th inning"

Because that would be hind sight. This is more fun.

I think cozart needs a lot of rest in the first half of the year. Time and time again we all see rookies look hot at the start and limp in at the finish. Let the kid rest often, if we make the playoffs, cozart will be pivotal in getting a series win.

What is Dusty doing. Takes stubs out of the 2 spot so he can strike out again. What was wrong with Cozart leading off and Stubbs getting all thoes good pitches to hit in front of Votto. This is becoming a real joke. Does dusty really care about WINNING. If your gonna give Cozart a rest on the 3rd game of the series. Really confused????

Was easy solution tonight:

Frazier
Stubbs
Votto
BP
Bruce
Ludwick
Valdez
Hanigan
Arroyo

That would have kept Stubbs in two and given Rolen a day off. Instead we get a half baked lineup today and tomorrow.

I'll pray to ANYBODY that he goes. Just when we get some chemistry going with a good batting order , Dusty messes with it.

I concur on all points. I don't get Dusty on this at all. Perhaps we will find out something later.

My suspicion is it"s in response to Rose's comments. Kind of an in your face thing.

Maybe dusty is looking at the bigger picture, plus Stubbs has been looking good at the plate. Maybe he has his mojo back. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to plug either guy in the lead off spot any given day?

I think this is a test to see if Stubbs has turned the corner this year or he is benefitting from Votto. I think it would be good to know something about how a player has either turned it around or not.

I agree with you.--- It "IS" dumb. A real rally killer.

Also I find it hilarious that Stubbs was an albatross to begin the season, but now we can't afford to have him move anywhere because he is productive and is table setting our offense.

I prefer "half-bakered"

Here in the Hoosier state we call it Earl Ball.

Give Valdez the 3rd game,Not when we're hot with a good line-up.

I say that same line up that beat the Giants 9-2 plays every day until we get a 5 game lead. Then we can sub.

Does it look like most of our board members do not agree with this lineup? Or is it just me?
Dusty is a firm believer in winning with what ya got.
