Interesting that 2 of the guys who were the most ripped on guys when the Cubs aquired them by some people on here.....Maholm and Wood are top 5 right now.

Thats debatable, it doesn't mean they are the best players, and it doesn't prove anything.
Regarding Maholm, he's either been on or off, when he's pitched good he's been very good and deserving of the HOTG honor.

He's also been very bad at times, but he's now put together 2 very good stretches of solid starts.

And since Wood has been recalled, he's been the teams best starter other than Demspter.

Most people on here don't know what they're looking at ...geeez you have people like BA analyzing games from Gameday. Just like the other day, 3 innings after it happened, nobody remembered Barney's rbi double until I reminded them and then he got third credit. I can't be around every day to edit.

Like I said, ...........it's interesting of what the outcome is so far, I didn't say it's the best gauge or paints the true picture or anything like that.

It's a tough call. You could even nominate Castro for tying it up against Johnson when no one could buy a hit off him. That wind was coming in pretty good, too. I think Valbuena's and Soto's drives may have been out without the wind (as well as one or two of the Marlins' drives).

Shark pitched a good game and didn't get rattled when Soto made the error. He hung in there and got that huge one out strikeout. I think I'd probably pick Shark.
