Okay. Feeling cool and superior?

I have to modify my earlier claim. To be truthful, I have made fun of Mormonism in the past. I shall endeavor to make amends for that.

I do not feel superior. I am just waiting for something to be revealed clearly and openly for all to see regarding the origins and history of the universe and of life on earth. In the meantime, I am hedging my bets with the Saucy Savior. At least I won't die hungry!

I'm not what you'd call a believer but I often wonder the same thing.

Religion is important to me, and many others. In OUR lives, it makes us better. I believe that. I am MORE than willing to put it aside, but when people feel compelled to mock us (believers) to make themselves feel superior, I feel compelled to respond.

Really? Explain that.

I'm having trouble understanding WHY you think someone with different beliefs could NOT mock somebody who believed other than they did.

I don't blame supernatural beings for the bad things that happen here. I'm a bit if a Deist you know. (I can't decide if I am more of a jack-Catholic, or a jack-Deist....)

You have seen me post here that, IMO, religions do a lot of good in this world by exhorting their members to help others and be charitable. That being said, I am entitled to my agnostic views and wait-and-see attitude. And I have the right to joke lightheartedly about Flying Spaghetti Monsters. I bear no believers malice, unless they try to use their beliefs against others or force them on people who do not agree.
