Here's a blurb on Singleton from Baseball America, following his big game last night.

Rough night for Oberholtzer again, though the BB and K numbers looked good. Bomb for Wallace is good to see, he's scuffled out of the gate. Hinze is on a nice little run; .313/.425/.438 during his last 10 games. Ran all over that catcher tonight, LOL.
Musick has an ERA under 3.00 now. It would be nice to get a little something out of that Lindstrom trade (not that losing Lindstrom was the end of the world). Nice to see Santana putting a little run together, and Nash, Meyer and Mier keep on doing more of the same.
Kvasnicka is hitting .091 man, 21 whiffs in 15 games, I have to say that's one of the season's biggest bummers for me so far. Hallock and Dufek haven't exactly lived up to our hopes either. And my gosh, look, Bushue's getting blown up even coming out of the pen. Boy oh boy. DeShields continues to progress though, and I have to say, he and Folty were probably the two guys we would have picked if we could have just two of the guys off that roster have good years and pan out.

I haven't heard anything about an injury to Aneury, I think his pitch count was just high. K and BB numbers continue to look good, hopefully he'll put it together soon.
Cosart didn't look very good tonight. 94 pitches to get through four innings. Most of the damage came in the fifth inning when he couldn't get an out. Walks, wild pitches, passed balls, the reliever came in a coughed it up too...just a rough inning. Singleton keeps hitting though, wow.
Alaniz, wow! Stockton got just two singles off him, and the bullpen held them down too. Through five starts, Alaniz has a 2.90 ERA, 7.6 K/9 and 2.0 BB/9, out in that tough league. Jonathan Meyer is up to .311/.350/.500 so far; he's not walking a ton and he still needs to cut down on whiffs, but they haven't been horrible either.
Lopsided-win day for our system; three games with one team getting shutout, and all of them with at least a five run spread. Cruz, nice start, Scott and DeShields keep looking solid, but there's not a lot to watch down there outside of 3D, Folty and Nitro right now.

Wow, what a night for Shuck. Solid night for Clemens and Paredes as well.
Well, he didn't really miss any bats, but good start from Seaton, hopefully he can build off that. Chapman just keeps rolling as well. Wates keeps raking, not that he's worth mentioning or anything...
Jonathan Meyer can't be stopped right now. During his last ten games, he's hitting .325/.325/.450, and six of them have been multi-hit games. He's not without a couple of holes still, but his defense has always been his best asset, so if he can also become a solid average, solid pop hitter as well, he could be a starter in the Majors. Springer is hitting .314 during his last eight games, but he's whiffing at an alarming rate (30 whiffs in 22 games so far). He's been quite good on the bases so far, if nothing else (6-for-6 in SB). And just an FYI, Nash hasn't played the last two games (Friday and Saturday). It could just be some time off since he was really scuffling recently after the hot start, but if he misses tonight then we may have to assume he's banged up or something.
John Hinson was our 13th pick last season, in case anyone forgot. He's a shortstop, though he played 2B with DeShields DHing tonight. He put up a decent .284/.348/.389 showing in Tri-City last year. Name to watch out of the corner of your eye maybe. Kvasnicka went 0-for-4 tonight, knocking him down to .085. He has a .262 OPS. Yes, OPS. Blah. Nitro is pitching tomorrow night if I'm not mistaken. Or, tomorrow afternoon I guess.
