I think so too, there's just too much talent on this team to not contend. Even with the injuries, it's not like we were getting anything out of Gamel and he wasn't playing good defense either. Ishy, Green, Kottaras etc can = Gamel. Even at SS we lost Alex Gonzalez, big deal he wasn't going to hit like he was all season and his D was good but Izturis can play too. And losing Narveson could end up being an upgrade with Estrada there, a lot better stuff than dead arm junk baller Narveson.
Though that reminds me of the post someone made saying how valuable the long man in the pen is and huge of a loss to the pen it was to move Estrada into the starting rotation lol. Yeah long relief, is a real difference maker, I'll bet 75% of Brewer fans have never heard of Chulk before.
Who's Chalk? I don't like chalk dust. I sneeze when I erase black boards. Remember Eraser with Arnold? Great movie. The magnet gun was cool shooting coils of electricity. Think Iron Man could bite a power line? I bet he could. He's Iron Man, not Water Man. Now, Aqua Man would die. Why aren't multiple dice called dices, that'd be so cool. I used to smoke Kool's in college for about a week but I didn't like them since I didn't smoke for long. Why is Howie Long popular? I find his analysis to be straight to the point to the point that my mom could give his advice. Why did they bring back Miami Vice? Has anyone else played Vice City? I live in The City Beautiful. Why they put City before Beautiful I don't know.
Huh. Who's Chalk again?
I got to go to bed.
Night.

The game was lost in the second inning. Ramirez doubles leading off. Then Corey Hart, who is either too selfish or too inept, cannot sacrifice himself by hitting a ground ball to the right side of the infield to get Ramirez to third base where he could have scored on the sharp single by Lucroy. This is the same Corey Hart who was doubled of of first base on a hit-and-run last Sunday when he failed to pick up where the ball was hit and was already past second base when the left fielder caught the ball and easily threw to first for the double play. I believe that I was playing baseball in 6th grade when I was taught that when running from first base on a hit and run to immediately look at my third base coach if I was unable to see where the ball was hit. Hart never looked at his third base coach. I have to conclude that Hart is just a dumb hillbilly from Kentucky. After spening my first 32 years in Milwaukee and teaching at Marquette University for seven years, I moved to Lexington, Kentucky to obtain my Ph.D at the University of Kentucky. I taught classes there while I was a Ph.D student. I was absolutley amazed at the difference between the intelligence of the students that I had taught at Marquette compared to the students that I taught at the University of Kentucky. In my first year of teaching at Kentucky, I was giving exams comparable to what I had given while I was at Marquette and 3/4 of the class failed my course! The vast majority of the people that I met while living in Lexington wery very kind and decent people. But they did almost everything at a snail's place and were as dumb as a post! I am afraid that is the problem with Corey Hart, a Kentucky native. You can take the boy out of the "country" but, unfortunately, you cannot take the "country" out of the boy. After five years of living in Lexington, I knew why the North won the Civil War!------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't really agree with anything he said baseball wise, but I laughed pretty hard at the end of this. Ahh the south.
"Maysonet needs to be given an opportunity to MANN second for the forseeable future, and given the fact that he's done more for them in (2) days than somebody else has for the last (6) years, should be enough proof is in the pudding, that number (23) goes on the open market for other help, because he ain't getting it done here, and probably never will."

I knew we'd find one of these after yesterday!
"who cares about the guy who will never play in a brewers uniform again and barely did it to begin with. goodluck finding another team next year old man."
from danbucksfan123 on the brewerblog about Gonzalez having a successful surgery and Gomez on a rehab assignment.
badgerfan - Today at 8:11 PM - When you see the Brewers blow an opportunity they had the last time at bat, you have to accept they are nobetter than Houston, Cubs, and Pirates. Ryan Braun despite his stats and awards has a ways to go before anybody can say he is a great hitter. He still will get to anxious with runners on and chases pitches early in the count--the great hitters just do not that. Votto of the Reds, and at least until this year Pujols are far better hitters and regaardless of the situation make the pitcher throw strikes. As far as the rest of the team, it is amazing how the Brewers can face a pitcher whom the rest the leaque is knocking all over the place and make him look like a Cy Young candidate. Aw Melvin's boys.
Wow just wow
