Who will want him but the Sox. No one on any other team cares for the guy. Remember he won the award for the most disliked/hated player in baseball.

That's about what I was thinking. Flowers is showing that he's not a starting catcher option, and the Sox really have no catchers in the minors.

Wrong on that account. While I'm sure there are some teams that would take pride in not signing him, AJ's been one of those guys you hate to play against for a long time. Didn't stop us from signing him. Just like it shouldn't stop any other team that needs help at the catcher position. Not saying it wouldn't factor into another team's equation. Just saying that it's certainly not going to be enough to take everyone else off the market.

I think Flowers would improve with regular playing time, but I think he'd still be a low AVG/OBP guy with some power. Not stellar on defense either so you would probably just keep AJ and keep your fingers crossed.
