Every time we go up to Seattle for a Yankees series, I go to hotwire and put in 3 or 3 1/2 star Pike Place property and I`ve never been burned. Last year we got the Silver Cloud Stadium directly across the street from Safeco. Paid around $129 and that was Memorial Day wknd. The second Yankees series last Sept we got the Sixth Ave Inn for $99 a nt. Have also gotten the Pioneer Square Best Western, Sheraton, Courtyard Pioneer Square (where we`re staying in July) and the Renaissance. All are within walking distance of the ballpark.

I enjoyed this place a lot:

It's 2.2 miles from the stadium, but you can catch the 99 bus and be there in half an hour. Lots of great waterfront dining nearby, especially Anthony's Pier 66 and The Crab Pot.

The Beatles stayed there during their last American tour, and Led Zep got kicked out.

Zeppelin threw all their furniture out into Elliott Bay. But, that`s not the reason they were kicked out....had something to do with a young girl and a small shark caught when they were fishing from their room. Let your mind do the rest, lol! 'Hammer of the Gods' goes into detail

Good post Eddie, but booking less than 10 days ahead, right around July 4th, I'm skeptical of one's ability to secure anything quality much under $200. Could happen though, doesn't hurt to look.

There are some DT hotels under $150, but the consumer reviews tend to be poor.

And, everyone's "walking distance" is different. If your willing to be 2 or more miles away one way, you'll be able to cut down the rate while maintaining the quality. Heck, if you willing to be 7-10 miles away, you can go under $100 I'm sure.

Your right, everyones walking distance does differ. The Sheraton is a pretty good walk. Always seems we walk to the games....but if we`re at the Sheraton or the Renaissance, we wind up taking a cab back. took the light rail when we were at the Sixth Ave Inn.

Actually the Alexis is a decent walk to the ballpark and close to Pike's Market etc. At this time of year they will be around $250-$275 and they include a $20 voucher against eats at their own restaurant.

"Boutique" style but always had good experiences there.

We stayed at the Edgewater the last game we went to but the hotel is pricey. For a water room for 3 was about 350. And you have to valet park for 18 a day (this was in 2010 so it may be more now). We took the hotel shuttle to the game but they stop at 9pm so after the game we had to take a cab.
