I know you saw it too because you commented on it, but I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this rational post on jsonline.
"Yet another series loss - getting a bit monotonous. HOWEVER, I actually felt the Reds offense was going to tear up the Brewers pitching and it did NOT. Take away Estrada's one bad inning and the Reds did NOT score more than 2 runs in any inning in the 3 games. Gallardo was great, Greinke even better today, and the bullpen for the most part stable. Chulk is a waste and Axford has definitely not been lights out this year so far. The offense doesn't have a clue right now other than Braun, but Morgan looks like he's starting to come out of it, Lucroy and Ramirez as well. Weeks .164 batting average is SO ridiculous, it's not even funny. Hart has come back to earth too. I guess we'll see what happens against the Cubs (who are also playing a bit better) this weekend, but if the Brewers can gain some momentum and get to near .500 by the end of May, they can get back into it. The first 5 series in June include Pittsburgh, the Cubs, San Diego, KC and Minnesota - teams the Crew should dominate. Despite losing 2 of 3, I'm actually more encouraged than discouraged by this series."
That makes me feel more optimistic as well the fact that we play Kansas City, Minnesota, and Chicago in interleague rather than Boston, New York, and Tampa. They need to take advantage of playing the Cubs, Mets, Astros, and Twins the next week and a half before they head back to the West Coast. I think this turns into a typical good Brewer season where they start to get hot in late May and dominate in June.
