<Winning season? The Jays have a winning record almost every year...

We will never win a WS having only won 83 games. We need to actually be good to make the playoffs.

As for Yunel, again, he was great last year. Better than Jeter who costs like 4 or 5 times as much. A rough stretch to start the year doesn't mean much. I guess Pujols isn't that good either and Matt Kemp will hit .400 with 100 home runs.

I am going to name you Small Sample Size Reactionary Moron, or SSSRM for short.

I enjoy the tone of novelty he uses with "FanGraphs". As if he just discovered it.

please stop pretending escobar is some sort of young guy who is about to be a breakout star. he is a cuban who is listed as being 29. that means he's really just as old as alex gonzalez. he was also outperformed last year by jj hardy for the same amount of money. i also find your small sample size cop out rather humorous, considering your gushing review of colby rasmus not more than a week ago. maybe aa can make another 10 trades this year and finish 3 fewer games behind 3rd than they did last year.

"please stop pretending escobar is some sort of young guy who is about to be a breakout star."

Last time I checked, 4 WAR players weren't really in need of a breakout.

there is no tone of novelty. only a tone of disappointed irony that you are yet again citing a source that you have either never really read or never understood.

last time i checked, you thought colby rasmus was a 4 war player. so where ever it is you check stuff from, it isn't very reliable.

why is it funny to bring up hardy? his performance this year has nothing to do with the fact that the previous idiot was patently wrong when he stated escobar was the al east's best shortstop last year. his salary was also in line with what escobar's was last year.

Sudokusecurity is clearly infinitely more knowledgeable than FanGraphs, not sure how you are disputing this

Escobar is a 2-time 4 WAR player, with a third season very close to 4 WAR. This isn't debateable, it's a fact.

Colby also factually has a 4 WAR season. I don't see why that's hard for you to understand.

"last time i checked, you thought colby rasmus was a 4 war player."

He was 2 years ago.

He's played like it so far this year.

Not sure what you don't understand.

"It's really getting annoying. He keeps complaining for no reason. How do you think guys like Lawrie, JPA, or Romero feel about this?"

This exact statement could be applied to Bautista when he thinks he's getting pinched on calls at the plate.

Or when he blew a gasket against the White Sox because he popped out instead of hitting a HR.

Its funny, you never see bench players get mad, because they're expectations are so low, its hard for them to be upset about anything.

"Its still April, no need to get emotional."

Most fans believe they're in relationships with the players.

Are you implying that FanGraphs doesn't account for defence and baserunning again?

Because that would be embarrassing.

"Rogers is to blame for the payroll. Beeston is the bad cop who has to explain this mess."

All Beeston's good for is pandering to the casual fan.

Fridge magnet day to draw fans in....done.

am I the only one who thinks Yunel should be batting 8th and Lawrie should be in the leadoff position until he starts turning things around? .261 obp vs .333 and Lawrie actually has some speed...I know Lawrie projects more of the middle of the order guy...but for the time being...he should be leading off..
