The first time I saw Sellers I wanted him on the big club - at SS - not 2nd base; and move Gordon to 2nd base. With Gordon at 2nd base, his throws are shorter, and theoretically, closer to the 1st base zone of catchability.
Sellers has been a joy to watch on the field, (except for the tattoos). His plate performance has been very good for a middle infielder, and I can just imagine a Sellers/Gordon up-the-middle superb double play combo.
This spring, Sellers is showing a great plate performance. I want this guy up the the middle. His hustle reminds me of Charlie Hustle (Pete Rose), perhaps one of the best fielders and players I've ever seen over 60 years of watching MLB.
