prior to last night, he had had 2 1-2-3 innings and never gave up more than 1 baserunner in any outing

Last night was his first bad game, but everybody blows saves, its only his first blown save in 4 tries

izzy was one of the best closers is Cardinals history despite what many believe in him and even he only had a 85% save rate

only the absolute top closers in the league even have a 90% save rate

Before you call me a liar you should go back and read my post, and an ERA of over 4 is horrible for a reliever.

whip is better stat for relievers because so few innings pitched causes one outing to spike numbers and scew the era, and mottes whip is 1.05

also, his era prior to that night was 2.25 and giving up 2 runs jumped it over 4, that should be clear sign of why this is way too small sample size to use to judge by era
