Twins could easily be over .500 right now if they hadn't blown a few of those games.

i will give him credit for sure. that was a tough 4 guys he faced and did the job. we saw what can happen to a good closer (nathan) on that stage in new york. capps' biggest enemy is himself

Fire Gardy, shouldn't have had to worry so much tonight.

Regardless of what happens in tomorrow's game I think all of us would have been giddy if you would've told us we'd win 2 in New York. I was fully expecting us to get swept.

we need to stop putting the Yanks on a pedestal...Gardy does it...the players do it...Marquis did it...some fans do it. Until the Twins treat them like any other club, they'll always be in their head...regardless of getting at least a split this time. They are just another ball club.

I blame Cuddyer. Now that he's gone we seem to be playing the Yankees like we aren't afraid of them anymore.

Seriously! Last time we won twice in New York during a season? 2001. When did our futility against the Yankees start? 2002. Cuddyer's rookie year. Next time we win twice in New York? 2012, the first year Cuddyer is gone.

Conspiracy!

This has got to be a true sign the world comes to an end December 21, 2012...

Unfortunately for the Mayans they didn't account for extra days in leap years...so that day has come and gone.

So, that's not the reason...

Another nice team victory! Marquis looked shaky for a while there. Does he only have 2 pitches? Or I should say.. 1 pitch with two different speeds (A tailing fastball and tailing change up..81mph and 89mph)?? Does he have a slider or curve ball or anything? I think he'd be more effective if he wasn't so predictable and had a couple of more pitches.

Morneau looks fantastic and Casilla sure came to play tonight!! I've actually been very impressed with Casilla in the field this year and batting so good vs. New York just shows me that maybe he deserves stick around for a while.

In terms of Luke Hughes being the odd man out... he was thanking the Twins for the opportunity to play in the Majors on Twitter and also thanking people from the down under for the support as well. It seems as if he doesn't think he'll ever get another shot again.

i agree about casilla. now granted, i haven't watched every game so far this season, but he has looked really good in this series (although he did almost boot a big grounder tonight). it would be great to see him keep that up

How is it the worst Twins team we've seen in the last 10 years has 2 wins in NY when the good Twins teams could hardly win ONE game vs the Yankees the entire season. Unreal. Anyways, good to see Morneaus bat get going, hopefully he can keep hitting HR's and playing some 1b in the process. Willingham went another game with a hit.

Just went back and re-watched Jeter's homerun in the 9th. What a joke. That ball is a lazy fly out in 29 other parks.
