if we hypothetically got Stanton NOW, I would look to extend him NOW. I think a 7/100 deal would do it and I think Stanton would definitely do it since he would get a HUGE pay increase for the next 3 years...in exchange for giving the Mets a team friendly annual salary the 4 years after. I think 7/100 was Pujols' initial contract.
