I didnt say anything to insult you in this thread. But apparently you want to play. So let's play.
Okay well willingham just hit 29 homers in a major league lineup last year.
Ryan Doumit hit .307 with some homers in an injury plagued season
Jamey Carroll has been with so many different MLB teams so it is no surprise he's on a major league roster
We got Capps in a trade from a major league team and i have no doubt that if the price is right, there are teams who'd take him and put him on their roster
The nats are all over Span's nuts and have been trying to get him from us since last july including all the week leading up to the deadline and during the winter meetings. so yeah he could play for them any day. they're a MLB team.
Swarzak is a serviceable swing man. He'd have absolutely no problem getting a job in the majors provided the team needed a swing man who could pitch in relief or a 5th starter role
Valencia just hit double digit homers in the major leagues last year, his average was down but his rookie year he hit .307
Pavano is an established vet with a track record of success. and could very easily be a target for trades as soon as this july! So, once again. no.
Baker is an established vet as well and has put up numbers consistent with a major league 4th starter. He could easily find another team.
Brian duensing has been effective everywhere you put him. Make him a late inning lefty, he does that well. he has had success in the rotation. he's done well in long relief.. Easily a major leaguer
Marquis is an established vet who's been pitching for YEARS. you simply havent heard of him because he's been in the national league which i suspect you don't get to watch much of.
Perkins- was great last year. If he becomes available he'd be in demand.
Liriano while shaky, has the ability to be dominant for long stretches. We'd have no problem, if the price was right, finding him a new team in a trade.
Lets see.. Matt capps has closed on every team he's been on, he's been a solid reliever everywhere he's been except for last year and would have absolutely no issue getting any sort of job in the back of a bullpen. is he a superstar, no but there ya go.
Hughes could easily fit as a bench option on a NL team looking for a pinch hitter.
So could burroughs.
