Mike Francesca had the rangers announcer joe micheletti on his radio show today. Mike asked him if the sens were the preferred matchup. he stated as we have all along. He said the caps would have been the best 1st round matchup for the rangers. The sens are fast up front and could cause problems and won 3 of 4 during reg season vs nyr.
With that said he still picked the rangers to win the series.
Dog,I watched the NHL Eastern Conf. prediction show last night and they all agreed the Rangers should win but the Sens were not as good a matchup as the Caps, as they're faster and more explosive than Philly. By the way, the Ranger's signed Kreider. He might be a real wild card for playoffs if Tort's decides to use him. The kid was a monster @ BC-Big & Fast(faster than Hagy). I can't wait to see him.
Brooklyn Al
No kidding, the experts on that show agreed with us too? Go figure.
I heard about kreider signing, wonder if he will play. who sits? Rupp? Mitchell? Seems Rupp might not be as valuable in the playoffs with teams being careful with the penalties anyway....
Should be interesting.
I heard if kreider plays even one playoff game his contract will have only 2 years left on it. Interesting decision torts has to make.
Going to the game tomorrow Al, can't wait.
Dog,
just finished watching the Mighty-Angry Pens do a CLASSIC CHOKE. Up three goals in the first period, Cindy and Co managed to hand the game over to the Phlyers. I'm loving it. Be scared Wood-be very, very scared.BTW-have a good time @ the game tomorrow-have a beer and a Potvin su-hucks for me.
Shocking choke job.
Let's get the first one, al
I saw the whole game. They were great last night. The only thing that bothered me was the last 7 or 8 minutes-they played the puck and not the man and it cost them 2 goals. Still, it was anything but a nail biter. Go Broadway Blues.
they were real good, and the garden was rockin....hank did some job from late 1st thru mid 2nd to keep it at 1-0. he never surprises me though.
The jury is still out on Hank, as far as I'm concerned. While he was terrific in the Olympics, he seems to have a let down at this time of year. Hopefully the rest he got with Biron taking some of the load will keep him fresh throughout.
