He was the Met mascot in the mid-late 70's! Meet the Mets, meet the Mets, come on out and greet the Mets. Bring your kiddies, bring your wives; come on out you'll have the time of your lives, because the Mets are really sockin that ball, hittin the homeruns over the wall. East Side, West Side everybody's comin down to meet the M-E-T-S Mets a New York Time!

Joe is what he is ... has some good points and some not so good.

What we need to do is fire the whole coaching staff ...

Never have so few been so bad at what they are suppose to do.

If I were the owner I would seriously be considering getting a new GM.
It would be nice if Andrew could get Joe some guys who can actually play
the game ... at least marginally.

Andrew's batting average on players is below the Mendoza line ... Keppinger
was a good addition. He can hit and play a lot of positions. You need guys like
him to win.

Not keeping Kotchman was beyond stupid. Kotchman can catch the ball and
put the ball in play at the plate ... None of the present players except for
Keppinger can do that.

Conditioning in spring training was none existent ... You cannot play 162 game
schedule if you a not in shape. Insanity should be on the list for ALL players to
complete before they come to spring training next year.

We have way to many NON-HITTERS on the team ... They swing at everything
and strike out way too much. And everyone pitches around Pena, because no
one following him in the lineup can hit the ball. Kind of reminds me of when Dave
Winfield played for the Padres. The only time he ever saw a good pitch to hit was
when the pitcher made a mistake. He'd go a month without seeing a good pitch
to hit because everyone pitched around him.

There is a huge difference between knowing how to play the game and knowing
how to play the game to win.

No team can win it all without at least 2 good catchers at least one who can hit
.250 and a good CF. We are lacking at both positions. Upton needs to play RF,
Jennings needs to play CF. LF can be mix or match depending on who is pitching
for the opposition.

Andrew needs to go on a shopping spree soon, or we will be heading south in the
standings pretty quick.
