We all want the Scherzer of the 2012 post allstar game edition but he has been fairly inconsistent.

Talking trade scenarios for Scherzer definitely would bring a different perspective on who could be a Tiger next season as a result.

Kurt reads a few Tigers messageboards, as does Price, Henning and Dickerson.

i was suggesting moving scherzer last off season. the thing is his motion. it takes him time slot his arm and motion is violent (as was zumaya's who i also suggested that the tigers trade). scherzer is an arm problem waiting to happen.

his value will never be higher.

Max's value will be much higher at the end of the 2013 season when he's a CY candidate.

some would argue that going into this season - he is that.

If we don't sign Scherzer to an extension that goes into a year or two of his free agency years before 2013 season starts, which is unlikely because Scherzer is a Boras client, I think Scherzer will be traded next winter.

Max and Doug both stepped up like aces after the AS break.
And coming in second in MLB for strikeout totals was quite a feather in Max's cap. :)
