Second time was a charm there. Sac fly. Young's fly ball to right was deeper.

Matusz was lucky to get out of that mess with only the one run being scored.

He'll have to do better in the fourth.

Matusz is frustrating to watch when he seems to be aiming his pitches. He doe that a lot.

Do you suppose Matusz will settle down, or he going to have a short night? This is a tough line-up to not have your best stuff againt!

Is Matusz out of options ? He really should be sent down.

He has options. Question would be who replaces him in the rotation. Berken?

Matuszis coming off two very good outings prior to tonight so lets not panic just yet. He could bounce back in this one.

The Rangers didn't score but Matusz still looked shaky. At least that's another inning without needing the 'pen.

How long did it take for Nick to start hitting last year? I seem to remember a pretty dismal start from him last year, I was just wondering when he started turning it around.

The O's look tired (39 innings in about 48 hour period ) to bad they didn't have an off day today.

Yeah, they look a little apathetic out there.

It drives me crazy when they let the opposing pitcher get out of an inning with 5 or 6 pitches. Don't these guys recognize the value of running up the pitch count?

Yeah, I know, if I didn't know any better, I'd say they just want to go home, but there professionals I can't imagine that's the attitude in there. Really would have done them some good to have an off day.

Also, Reynolds is terrible.

I hope Matusz can finish this inning.

Last year Markakis played 25 games in April and hit .204/.275/.286.

He started hitting early in May and, in that month, hit .287/.352/.357.
He was really hot in June: .351/.371/.459 and then stabilized for the rest of the year:
July... .287/.342/.463,
August... .277/.357/.420, and
September... .289/.402/.443.

Nope. Texas does though and it's 4-0.

Cool, Thanks. I hope he starts hitting the gas. This might be an ugly inning too.

Reynolds CAN not be in the lineup unless he's a DH. He is really really awful. 7-0 Rangers.
