    • Curt Schilling: A-Rod's no Mr. October

His main argument was that Arod's swing had many holes in it, which became exposed in the postseason against good pitching and careful game planning. Not only is that a load of garbage, but it's very insulting because he's devaluing Arod as a hitter.

Arod's main problem is that he was expanding the zone in previous postseason because he wasn't getting anything to hit, and he was pressing.

Once he simplified things and just focused on seeing the ball and drive it, he finally carried his regular season performance into the postseason. These pitchers that he hit are no slouches!

Same here. He'll probably say ARod's back on steriods or some nonsense.

4eva 1 or 2, where ya been??I normally try not to speak poorly of ball players, but Schilling, was an A-whole before he ever went to Boston and judging by his pre WS quote, he still the biggest A-whole in or out of baseball. He's held that distinction since he "arrived" in the national spotlight, I never liked the guy.

<"I'd like to hear a new statement from Curt Schilling! "

Here ya go... The guy is such a joke...

"Oh, Jeez, let’s all cheer up because A-Rod’s come full circle now. He’s got his ring, he’s complete, blah, blah, blah, whatever. Listen, they’re used to it, and they have to accept the fact that no one outside New York is even remotely happy today. OK, the Yankees won. Move on. When does spring training start? When do we sign free agents? I don’t know. … That’s [Derek] Jeter’s fifth ring, wow, that’s impressive. Johnny [Damon], who I think everybody wrote off early — “That contract is going to be a bad one” — it’s turned about to be a situation now where he might end up getting a multiyear deal again from the Yankees. He certainly had an impact year in the sense that it’s going to have some impact on the Jason Bay thing and whether New York becomes a serious player. But beyond that, no. I love to see Mariano Rivera, I’m a fan. And Eric Hinske as well. So, it’s a personal thing for me. I think for players maybe. I don’t know that I’m really friends with anybody in my life that wants any team in New York to ever win anything."

Curt Schilling is trying desperately to keep his name relevant, because he's running for political office....He's a sad fellow and no one cares.

his column is 38 pitches -- I think that's how many pitches the legend-in-his-own-mind would now throw in the first inning vs. the Yanks before he got pulled with 10 runs scored and the bases loaded
