I disagree. Pujols got 10 because Pujols had already put up, arguable, the greatest 10 year run in MLB history. Hamilton is nowhere near that type of player. Other players who've received contracts of that length did so in their late 20's, not early 30's, which is where Hamilton will be. I disagree 10 years has become the price regardless of age.

True but, the D-backs have a bunch of hitters too. The Rocks are a bad team and the ball does fly out of that park. Still I have watched almost all of our games, these two guys with their speed are making it fun again! I love seeing the little Mo pound the ball. With all of this speed we have now, no pitcher wants to walk anyone! If they do walk someone, we make them pay! Its been a long hard season, and its good to have fun at the park again!

yes he did, ya got to love the hard noise player that he is. Someone said in a post already but its so true, "the best forth outfielder in the game". Dino gives everything he has every night. Seems to be dirty all the time and I love that in a player.

I though about making a "My apologies to deno" thread. For bein so hard on him. He's carved out a nice lil niche for himself and has played well. Good for him............ padres still should have gone after a big bopper in 2010, instead of Pudstink and Deno.

that would be so cool. Can't remember if he even got into last nights game or not, didn't he come in late to left? Anyway, he does get down and dirty. I think a lot of that is because he spent a lot of time in AAA and now knows what it takes for him to stay up. I love how he runs out every hit, weak hit ball or not he runs hard to first like they all should!

I suspect he is a guy who has always played flat out - that just seems to be him

So he's one of those "blue collar" guys who sees that it can all be taken away tomorrow and so he plays all out today.... he was signed by the Padres as a minor league free agent
